    Are you on vacation in Australia and want to extend your stay but don’t have enough to support your extended stay? The working holiday visa subclass 417 allows young adults to extend their stay while they work to fund their holiday in Australia. This visa is categorised into three types depending on the number of stay extensions you take:
    First working holiday visa
    Second working holiday visa
    Third working holiday visa

  • First Working Holiday Visa

    This visa lets you have your first extended holiday and work in Australia to help fund your stay.
    You may do short-term work in Australia and even study for up to four months.
    With this visa, you can travel to and out of Australia as many times as you want.

  • Eligibility criteria

    ⦁ hold a passport from an eligible country or jurisdiction
    ⦁ be 18 to 30 years old (or 35 years old for some countries)
    ⦁ apply online from outside Australia
    ⦁ not be accompanied by dependent children or family members
    ⦁ not have previously entered Australia on a subclass 417 or 462 visa. If you have previously been in Australia on a subclass 417 visa, see the Second Working Holiday visa.

  • With this visa you can

    ⦁ do short-term work in Australia to help pay for your holiday
    ⦁ study for up to 4 months
    ⦁ travel to and from Australia as many times as you want
    ⦁ do 3 months of specified work to become eligible for a second Working Holiday visa

    You might also have to pay for health checks, police certificates and biometrics.

  • Second Working Holiday Visa

    The second working holiday visa allows those who currently hold, or who have held a Working Holiday visa, to get a second working holiday in Australia for up to 12 months.
    You may do short-term work in Australia and even study for up to four months.
    With this visa, you can travel to and out of Australia as many times as you want.
    You may also work for six months specific to subclass 417 work to be eligible for the third working holiday visa.

  • Eligibility criteria

    ⦁ have previously entered Australia on a subclass 417 visa. If you haven’t, see the first Working Holiday visa
    ⦁ if in Australia, hold a substantive visa or your last substantive visa expired less than 28 days ago.
    ⦁ hold a passport from an eligible country or jurisdiction
    ⦁ be 18 to 30 years old (or 35 years old for some countries)
    ⦁ have completed 3 months of specified subclass 417 work
    ⦁ not be accompanied by dependent children or family members

  • With this visa, you can

    ⦁ do short-term work in Australia to help pay for your holiday.
    ⦁ study for up to 4 months.
    ⦁ travel to and from Australia as many times as you want.
    ⦁ do 6 months of specified work to become eligible for a third Working Holiday visa.

  • Third Working Holiday Visa

    This visa lets you have a third working holiday in Australia for up to 12 months if you currently hold or have held a second Working Holiday visa.
    You are permitted to work for a short while in Australia to be able to manage your stay. You may also be allowed to study for up to four months. During your stay, you can travel to and from Australia as many times as you want.

  • Eligibility criteria

    ⦁ have previously held 2 subclass 417 visas in Australia. If you haven’t, see the first Working Holiday visa or second Working Holiday visa
    ⦁ if in Australia, hold a substantive visa or your last substantive visa expired less than 28 days ago
    ⦁ hold a passport from an eligible country/jurisdiction
    ⦁ be 18 to 30 years old (or 35 years old for some countries)
    ⦁ have undertaken 6 months of specified subclass 417 work 
    ⦁ not be accompanied by dependent children or family members.

  • With this visa, you can

    ⦁ do short-term work in Australia to help pay for your holiday.
    ⦁ study for up to 4 months
    ⦁ travel to and from Australia as many times as you want.

  • Cost

    AUD635.00
